Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Residential House Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with residential wood framing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on custom home projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble wood framing for residential homes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout measurements
- Build walls, floors, roofs, stairs, and structural components
- Install beams, joists, trusses, sheathing, and subfloors
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and framing equipment safely
- Ensure framing work is level, square, and built to code
- Work closely with site supervisors and other trades on-site
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
- Assist with material handling and site preparation as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of residential framing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods
- Ability to read construction drawings and measurements accurately
- Experience using framing tools and equipment
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Fall protection and safety certifications considered an asset
